Emersin Adamsons (King Claudius) is new to the Young Company and has enjoyed their time here. Other than YoCo they’ve done several plays at school and the HJT including Wolf Hollow and Wizard of Oz.
Maya Anastasio (Hamlet) This is Maya’s third year with YoCo. She is a sophomore at Nauset regional high school and is so excited to get to play Hamlet and have a part in such an amazing production. Maya would like to thank Mo, Julie, Ian and company for the incredible experience of YoCo 2022 and she can’t wait for next year!
Tyler Brackett (King Claudius) is a junior at Monomoy High School. He previously performed in Elf, Matilda and more at CCTC, and in Fun Home at Cape Rep in 2018. Tyler is so grateful for this opportunity, and has had a great time!
Atticus Brent (Polonius/Player Ensemble) is really having fun his first year at YoCo. A sophomore at Nauset High School, he hasn’t acted since fourth grade but acting runs ins family. He loves fishing for striped bass, traveling and just about any kind of pizza.
Ray Borelli (Rosencrantz) is in their senior year of high school, and 3rd year of YoCo. Ray is thrilled to be playing Rosencrantz, their most challenging role yet. Ray will miss YoCo, and is eternally great full for the amazing friendships forged on and off stage that have changed their life forever.
Delia Castro (Guildenstern/Player Ensemble) is a 14-year-old student at Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School. This is Delia‘s first year taking part in YoCo and she is delighted to have had this experience! While this is her first time being a part of this acting company, Delia has been performing onstage since she was 8 years old. Some of her favorite productions include Sleepy Hollow, Charlottes Web, and All Together Now. Other hobbies she enjoys doing are tap, ballroom and singing! Delia can’t thank YoCo enough for this incredible learning experience as she hopes to someday make a career out of theater. She can’t wait to do this again next year!
Macklin Devine (Ghost/Player Ensemble) most recently appeared at Cape Rep as Edward/musician in The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and Puck in Rock the Bard: Midsummer and appeared as Odysseus in Cape Rep’s Young Company (YoCo) production of The Odyssey. Other credits: Cape Rep: Shakespeare in Love (Webster), Billy Elliot the Musical (Tall Boy/Posh Boy), Jerusalem (Markie), and Mamma Mia!, with YoCo: Great Expectations (Herbert/Pip), Macbeth (Witch 1/Murderer1), Once In a Lifetime (Lawrence Vail); Harwich Junior Theatre: To Kill a Mockingbird (Dill); Romeo in 4C’s production of Romeo and Juliet. Macklin is the bassist and backup vocalist for the rock band Club 9 Ball. Macklin hopes to become a professional musician/actor and is delighted to be a part of this production. Thank you to the cast and coaches for another incredible YoCo experience, and to my parents and my brothers for all their support.
Emeline Dickinson (Ophelia) is a senior at Sturgis Charter School West in Hyannis. where she has been involved in the theater productions for 4 years as lighting and props leader but has never been given the priceless opportunity to act. She wanted to spread her wings a little, and YoCo has exceeded all expectations! Not sure where her next educational adventure will start, she expects to take a 1-2 year break between schools to work on herself, her happiness, and her passions (Maine and Costa Rica on the agenda so far)! Thus, and thankfully, she will be able to once again be immersed in next year’s YoCo community!
River Dubner (Rosencrantz/Player Ensemble) is a 14 year old who has been acting since they were very little. They have been seen in plays like Willy Wonka Jr. and Miracle on 34th Street! They are so thrilled to be performing and can’t wait to meet each and every one of y’all!! Hope you enjoy the show!!
Landon Dubois (Guildenstern/Player Ensemble) This is Landon’s 3rd year with YoCo, and they’ve loved every minute of it. They are a Junior at Nauset High School and have been acting for over 7 years. They’d like to thank Mo, Julie, Ian, Brooks, and everyone else in YoCo, behind the scenes and act one included, and hopes for a more normal experience next year!
Ciara Farris (Player/Player Ensemble) is a senior at Monomoy Regional High School and has been involved in the performing arts since she was thirteen years old. This is Ciara’s first year in YoCo, but she has been in 10 shows at Monomoy, including Sense & Sensibility (Mrs. Jennings), Alice in Wonderland (Alice), Les Miserables (Mme. Thenardier), Done to Death (alt. Jessica), Much Ado About Nothing (Antonio), Newsies (Newsies/Scabber), TRAP (Kendra), All Shook Up (Ensemble), Annie Jr. (Kate), and Makin’ It (Monica). She is currently working on a production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Mitch Mahoney). Ciara hopes to attend drama school in the fall, but her other academic interests include psychology and biology. She would like to thank Mo, Julie, Ian, Alison, Chelsey, and all the YoCo kids for making this such a fun and enriching show! The only thing Ciara would change about her YoCo experience would be starting 4 years ago. Thank you Cape Rep for keeping Ciara sane during the dreaded winter months!
Kai Georges (Horatio) Kai is sophomore at Nauset Regional High School and this is his 3rd year with YoCo. You might have seen him on the Cape Rep stage in Footlight Fantasies.
Perry Gill (Rosencrantz/Osric) a 9th grader at NRHS, is delighted and grateful to be a part of the hardworking cast of YoCo. She was most recently seen at CCTC-HJT in the production of The Secret Garden as Martha. Other favorite roles include a tapping seagull in The Little Mermaid, the Snuffbox in A Christmas Carol, and Ruby Gillis in Anne of Green Gables. In her free time Perry enjoys knitting, sewing, singing, dancing, and hanging out with her friends and family.
Nell Hamilton (Hamlet/Player Ensemble) is in her 6th and final year of YoCo! She’s so thankful to Cape Rep, Mo, and Julie for the opportunities YoCo has given her. Favorite recent shows include Cape Rep’s The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, NRHS’ Midsummer Night’s Dream, and YoCo’s The Odyssey. Love to all YoCo crew!
Liam Henderson (Player) Liam Henderson a native of Plymouth was recently in his high school production of The Laramie Project where he played The Baptist Minister, Harry Woods, and Matt Galloway. He is very excited to complete his 5th year of YoCo. He would also like to thank his loving parents and Mo the great conductor of juvenile companies.
Sam Marotto (Queen Gertrude)is a sixteen-year-old junior at Barnstable High School and has been involved with the Young Company for three years, starting her journey as Weisskopf in Once in a Lifetime. She is always excited to meet new people through one of her favorite passions and is looking forward to the YoCo program next year! She wants to thank Mo, Julie, and everyone involved in making this performance as incredible as it is.
Campbell Mulligan (Rosencrantz/Player Ensemble) is a sophomore at Nauset Regional High School. She is excited to be back for her third year participating in the Young Company. She wants to thank Mo, Ian, and company for the amazing experience and she can’t wait till next year.
Alice Murphy (Hamlet/Player Ensemble) is a senior at Monomoy and this is her second year at Yoco. She is so excited to be back at Cape Rep and would like to thank everyone for being such an amazing cast and crew.
Kate Murphy (Ophelia) is an eighth grader at JPII. Kate is new to the Young Company this year, and is looking forward to her future years here! She loves being a part of the cast and would like to thank Mo, Julie and her fellow cast mates for their hard work and making the show so fun!
Myles Nelson (Guildenstern) is a student at Cape Cod Tech. This is his second year with YoCo having appeared as the Bishop in Once In A Lifetime.
John O’Meara (Rosencrantz/Laertes) is a senior at Nauset High School. This is his first and last year of YoCo and he’s loved every second of it. He’d like to thank Mo, Julie, Allison and Ian for pushing him to improve and work towards becoming the actor he aspires to be. Favorite past roles include Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby and Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Laik O’Reilly (Polonius/Player) will be appearing in Waiting for Ham as their debut performance. They are a Sophomore at Barnstable High School and will be participating in Shrek: The Musical there in March. Laik enjoys running and learning to play and write music. Thank you!
Xevi Pina Parker (Player/Player Ensemble) is an eighth grader at MRHS. She loves reading, crocheting, and her friends. This is Xevi’s first year with YoCo although she has done numerous shows at CCTCC/HJT including Twelfth Night (Curio/lords and attendants/officer), Sleeping Beauty (Bluma), Peter Rabbit (Beatrice Potter), and Julius Caesar (Soothsayer). Xevi is excited to be a part of YoCo and hopes to continue to be a part of this wonderful community!
Kai Rotcavich (Guildenstern/Player Ensemble) is a senior at Nauset Regional High School and has been in YoCo for five years now. He is excited to be with YoCo again this year and sad that it will be his last year. Thank you to everyone involved with YoCo for all the happy memories!
Shaw Schuyler (Rosencrantz/Player Ensemble) is in his fifth year as an actor in the Young Company Program and is a senior at Monomoy High School. Some of his stage credits include Once in a Lifetime, The Odyssey, Wolf Hollow, Beauty and the Beast, Great Expectations, Anne of Green Gables, Bye Bye Birdie, The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz, and Oliver. Shaw can also be seen in the newly released feature film Red River Road as well as other film credits, Bomb and They Are Mine. He has been nominated by Congressman Keating for both the Naval and Air Force Academies as he moves forward toward an Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering career. “Creativity and theater will always be at my core no matter what I do. My involvement with Young Company has helped me become a strong, confident communicator and a fearless actor.” Shaw would like to thank all those that have given their time and expertise to the development of young creatives here at Cape Repertory Theatre.
Natalie Sims (Rosencrantz/Player Ensemble) is in eighth grade at Monomoy Regional High School, and this is her first year apart of YoCo. She has also been in other shows at Monomoy such as Peter Pan Jr., Aladdin Jr., and stage crew for Sense and Sensibility. She looks forward to participating in other performances in the years to come.
Kendall Smith (Hamlet/Player Ensemble) is a Sophomore at Nauset Regional High School and is super stoked to be back and performing in YoCo! While this year has been super crazy for everybody it has been an amazing experience for her nonetheless. She’d like to thank all of her cast mates and directors for putting on such an amazing show, and would like to extend a big thank you to her parents for working with the shifting schedule to get her to rehearsal on time.
Asa St. Aubin (Horatio) is a senior at Monomoy High School and this is his third year in YoCo.
Charlotte Stallsmith (Francisco/Player Ensemble) is an eighth grader at NRMS and this is her first year with YoCo.
Madeline Stallsmith (Barnardo/Player Ensemble) is a Nauset Regional High school Junior who is currently in her second year with the Young Company. They were featured in last year’s YoCo production’s Welcome to the Crystal Theater (Raven) and Lady Blue. You might have also seen her in productions at NRMS. YoCo has been an amazing opportunity to be able to perform and connect with new and talented people. Thank you Cape Rep!
Olivia Thompson (Guildenstern/Gentleman) is so excited to be in her second year of YoCo. She is a Sophomore at Barnstable High School, and is 15 years old. Outside of theater she enjoys reading, writing, and fashion design. Her most recent performances have been Tuck Everlasting as Winnie Foster and Sleeping Beauty: Briar Rose as Briar Rose, and last years YoCo performances. She is so happy to be acting on stage again, and can’t wait for her schools spring musical Shrek. Olivia loves YoCo and is excited for next years program.
Poe Vanderschmidt (Guildenstern) is an 18 year old senior at Nauset High School, and is greatly enjoying their first (and unfortunately last) Young Company experience at Cape Rep. Poe most recently has played Oberon and Theseus in an outdoor production of: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, and has been involved with production and acting all their life. Poe’s love of theater has grown even stronger from this program and they thank Mo, Julie, Ian, and all the other staff and volunteers of YoCo for such a unique and wonderful experience!
Izaak van der Wende (Marcellus/Player Ensemble) is an eighth grader who attends Nauset Regional Middle school, and is, this year, for the first time participating in YoCo. He never had any intent of doing anything with theater, but found a love for it by accident during his first year at YoCo. He spends most of his time reading and listening to music, and is oddly well versed in philosophy.
Finola Weller (Guildenstern/Gravedigger) After years of watching The Young Company, Finola is excited to make her YoCo debut. She has been on stage in Peter Pan (HJT), Frozen, Sleepy Hollow, and the Little Mermaid (Academy Playhouse). Her film work includes Little Women and These Flowers. She’s grateful for the support of Cape Rep and her family.
Brielle Whalen (Hamlet/Player Ensemble) is a senior at Sturgis West, and she is thrilled to be back on the stage after assistant directing Cape Rep’s summer production of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. She has been a member of YoCo since its inception five years ago. Her favorite YoCo roles include Nausicaa/Anticlea in The Odyssey and May Daniels in Once in a Lifetime. In addition to acting, Brielle is an avid baker and showcases her favorite recipes on her website: BakingwithBrie.com. She plans on studying the classics, theatre, and media studies in college. She would like to thank Mo and Julie for making this production possible!
Lir Wood (Rosencrantz) is a freshman at Sturgis West and this is his second year doing YoCo. He loves acting, and in these difficult times he loves doing YoCo and has so much fun with it! Thank you to all of the cast, plus Mo and crew! It has been an incredible season.
Marissa Wright (Guildenstern) is a junior at Nauset Regional High School and has been a part of YoCo for three years. With YoCo she has appeared in Once in A Lifetime (Susan) and Welcome to the Crystal Theater (Lucy). Outside of YoCo, she has been in numerous shows at The Academy Playhouse and NRMS. She wants to say thanks to the cast and crew for this wonderful opportunity!
Maura Hanlon (Director) is the Associate Artistic Director at Cape Rep Theatre and founder of the Young Company (YoCo). Mo’s most recent directorial credits include our 2021 season’s Noises Off, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (which featured the talents of 6 present and former YoCo members) and Joanne Callum Powers’ one-woman show, Miss Delta Township. For YoCo, six original 10-minute plays by Cape Cod playwrights (2021), Once in a Lifetime, The Odyssey, Great Expectations and Macbeth. Favorite directing credits include Edward Tulane, Indecent, Men on Boats, Failure: A Love Story, Jerusalem, Eurydice, Wintertime, The Rose Tattoo (Cape Rep) and Peter Pan and Wendy (HJT). A sometime-actor, she was last seen on stage at Cape Rep as Rosie in Mamma Mia! and Helen in Fun Home. She is a frequent sound designer (Dear Jack-Dear Louise, My Name is Asher Lev, Top-dog/Underdog, The Bottom of the Sky, to name just a few), and an occasional playwright (Good Bye, Mary Rose, Dinosaur Pirates from Outerspace!, which she also composed, and Alice in Wonderland, along with many adaptations for YoCo with Janine Perry). Mo is a Holy Cross grad, studied acting and directing at Trinity Rep Conservatory and received her MFA in directing from UCSD. Extra-special thanks to her incredibly supportive family, Art, Paddo, Seamus and Macklin.
Susan Nicholson (Lighting Designer) Susan is a northeast based Lighting Designer. Starting in 2005 she has been a part of over 35 Cape Rep productions as well as VetCo, Young Company, Footlight Fantasy and many benefits and special performances. Favorite show credits include-The Full Monty (the first time), Xanadu, UMPO, Merrily We Roll Along, Rough Crossing, Billy Elliot, and Boundless. She is an events lighting designer in NYC doing projects such as Hospitality at the US Open, John Wick 3 premier party, and various other Corporate Events and Parties.
Alison Weller (Voice & Speech Coach) has been with the Young Company since its inception. Recent acting credits include The Good House, Don’t Look Up, Spirited and Hocus Pocus 2, A Christmas Carol at the Shakespeare Theatre of NJ and Mamma Mia at Cape Rep. She is in her fourth year of teaching investigative theater at The New School and is an Associate Artist with the NY theatre company, The Civilians. Alison is deeply moved by the impact of the Young Company on all of its participants, thrilled that the program continues to grow, and very excited that Finola is making her YoCo debut this year.
Art Devine (Stage Combat) Art is a multi-talented theater artist whose work as a playwright, director, actor and designer has been enjoyed throughout New England and California. He has written three world premiere plays for Cape Rep (9-Ball, Winter Wheat and The Bottom of the Sky) and is currently working on a one man show. For Cape Rep he directed A Streetcar Named Desire, Sunday in the Park with George, Topdog/Underdog, Our Country’s Good, 9-Ball and two world premieres, Alison Weller’s – Boundless and Jade Schuyler’s – Tuna Goddess. Art trained at Trinity Rep Conservatory in RI. He is a teacher of Cape Rep’s Theater Lab Playwriting I&II and is the director of Cape Rep’s Veterans Company or VETCO.
Chelsey Jo Ristaino (Movement Coach) Chelsey has appeared in over a dozen performances at Cape Rep. She has been teaching theatre and dance classes for 5 years in both California and Massachusetts. She has been a director, musical director and choreographer for Bay Area Children’s Theatre, LaMorinda Performing Academy and Musical Theatre Works in California. Chelsey holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University.
Julie Allen Hamilton (Stage Manager) is an Associate Artist at Cape Rep Theatre where she is an actor and a director as well as the Box Office and Front of House Manager. Julie has been a coach with the Young Company since its inception six years ago, and it is one of her favorite occupations. When not at the theater, Julie can most often be found at the beach with her standard poodle, Josie.
Ian Hamilton (Associate Director) is a founding member of the Young Company, and is overjoyed to be officially joining the coaching staff at Cape Rep. Ian studied Theatre Education at Wheaton College, and spent time at the London Dramatic Academy, where he focused on physical comedy. In the daylight hours, Ian can be found teaching Drama and Special Ed at Nauset Regional High School, and will be spending his summer as the Program Director at the Brewster Day Camp.
Mia Lima (Assistant Director) is an eighteen-year-old senior at Nauset Regional High School and is now completing her fifth and final year as a Cape Rep YoCo member. Mia has appeared in Great Expectations, The Odyssey, Once in A Lifetime with YoCo and in Cape Rep’s The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane as Amos/Lawrence/Bryce/etc. Her hobbies include dancing, singing, and learning how to play the piano.
Catie Clarke (Assistant Stage Manager) is an eighteen year old senior at Cape Cod Academy and is thrilled to be returning for her fifth year of the Young Company! In past YoCo productions she has appeared as Pip (Great Expectations), Helios (The Odyssey), and Phyllis Fontaine (Once in a Lifetime.) However for the past two years she has been on the other side of the table, helping out as Assistant Stage Manager. Thank you so much to Mo and Julie for this opportunity, and for an amazing five years!
Brooks Doane (Assistant Lighting Designer) is a senior at Cape Cod Tech, with plans to study fashion design after graduating. Within the Young Company Brooks works with lighting and has been working with the Young Company for two years. Prior to being involved with the Young Company Brooks worked lighting for school plays at Monomoy Regional High School.
