A Special Appearance
We are delighted to welcome lifelong Cape Codder Dermot Mulroney back to Cape Rep as our guest of honor at Summer Starlight! Dermot was the very first star of this annual fundraiser, when he appeared with his mother, Ellen Mulroney, a long-time Cape Rep artist, in 2013.
Dermot is a well-known star of film and television, best known for movies such as My Best Friend’s Wedding, About Schmidt, Young Guns and the horror franchise, Scream VI. He most recently starred on television as Chief Dom Pascal in Chicago Fire, and The Hunting Wives.
Dermot is a classically trained cellist and has played in the orchestras of many films including Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Incredibles 2 and Coco. Most recently, Dermot and his brother Kieran formed the band jackrabbit, which features “heartfelt lyrics with an authentic, Americana sound influenced by classic country and folk. With a blend of twangy guitars, and the Mulroney brothers’ harmonies, jackrabbit delivers a soulful and authentic country music experience.” Catch them on tour this summer!
