Summary

Cape Rep Theatre presents The Vinyl Sessions, a new series of concerts celebrating the greatest albums of the 20th Century conceived by Jared Hagan and Richard Jay Sullivan and performed by some of your favorite Cape Rep artists, including Hagan, Brittany Rolfs, Meghan Magrath, Chelsey Jo Ristaino, Anthony Teixeira, Trish LaRose, Wendy Watson, Kate Pazakis and Jess Andra.

We’re kicking off the series with Carole King’s iconic 1971 album Tapestry, featuring such beloved songs as “You’ve Got A Friend,” “I Feel The Earth Move,” “Natural Woman” and “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.”

Jess Andra is honored to be included with such talented people, bringing one of her favorite albums to life! She was most recently seen on your computer screens in Cape Reps The November Project and The At-Home Coffee House Cabaret and Holidays Under The Umbrella with The Umbrella Stage Company. Previous Cape Rep credits include Men On Boats, A New Brain, Merrily We Roll Along, Mamma Mia!, UMPO: Summer Blockbusters and The Full Monty. Jared Hagan is an Associate Artist at Cape Rep Theatre where he has appeared in over 30 productions. Trish LaRose is an Associate Artist at Cape Rep where she’s appeared in over a dozen productions. Favorites include: Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia, Halina Cygansky in Indecent, Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, Mae West in Dirty Blonde, O.G. Howland in Men On Boats, Mary Flynn in Merrily We Roll Along and Serafina Delle Rosa in The Rose Tattoo. Other credits include: Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Opp Tom Hewitt, Dir. David Drake) at Provincetown Theater, Gwendolyn Pigeon in The Odd Couple and the Dark Night Cabaret Series at CCftA, special guest appearance with The Skivvies, The Nat’l Tour of Urban Cowboy, Legally Blonde (Dir. Nick Kenkel) at North Shore Music Theatre and her One Woman Show (Dir. Matthew Risch) performed in NYC. Love to her family for all their love and support!

Meghan Magrath is thrilled to be a part of this project, especially as a longtime Carole King fan! Recent credits include: Dark Night Cabaret and The ABCs of NYC (CCftA); The Full Monty, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience, Merrily We Roll Along and Failure: A Love Story (Cape Rep). In New York, she has debuted two original shows, Womenfolk and Here Comes the Broad, at The Duplex Cabaret and Piano Bar. She holds a BFA in Drama from NYU/Tisch. Thanks to her parents for introducing her to Tapestry, and to her husband Conor for his continuous love and support.

KATE PAZAKIS is the creator and writer of the UMPO Series. For six years she was the Producing Artistic Director of Rockwell Table And Stage in Los Angeles. Over that time the UMPO series became one of the hottest theatrical series in Los Angeles. It was featured on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood Live and many morning shows. She wrote the following parodies: UMPO STRANGER THINGS, UMPO BRIDESMAIDS, UMPO JURASSIC PARK, UMPO CLUELESS, UMPO 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, UMPO LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN and UMPO MEAN GURLZ, and co-wrote UMPO’s HOCUS POCUS, UMPO TROOP BEVERLY HILLS, UMPO THE BIG LEBOWSKI, UMPO THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, UMPO HOME ALONE, SCISSORHANDS and THE LAST BREAKFAST CLUB. She also produced UMPO: SCREAM and developed/produced UMPO: CRUEL INTENTIONS which ran Off-Broadway and is now touring. As an actor, she has been seen on TV in many national commercials and a guest star on SOUTH PARK. Broadway/National Tour: South Pacific; Jerry Springer: The Opera (starring Harvey Keitel); and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (starring Jennifer Hudson). Kate is honored to come back to her home base at Cape Rep where she played Sylvia in Sylvia 25 years ago. Thank you, Janine and Mo.

Chelsey first fell in love with Cape Rep in 2012 where she appeared in Spamalot. Since then she has lived in New York and San Francisco working as an actress and teaching artist. She now resides in Brewster with her Cape Rep love, Seton, and two greyhounds. Favorite Cape Rep credits: Next to Normal, Evita, The Light in the Piazza, Jerusalem, and Hairspray. Bay Area credits: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Grease (Broadway by the Bay), Mamma Mia (Center Rep), Grease (Berkeley Playhouse), Rock of Ages (PCRT), She Loves Me (RVP/Mountain Play) and Spamalot (Marin Shakes). She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University.

Brittany has appeared on Cape stages in Oliver!, A Little Princess, Beauty and the Beast, Pippin, Matilda, Freaky Friday, and Fun Home. She has worked around the country as an actor, director, costume designer, and teaching artist. Now residing in Truro, she spends her days exploring the outer cape, making art, and learning to skateboard. After this year-long hiatus from the stage, she thanks Jared, Richard, and Cape Rep for reminding her that she sings!

Wendy W. Watson has been performing since the age of 5. An Equity actress, Wendy has worked in New York, London, Hawaii, and Cape Cod in a wide variety of productions. Her favorite roles include Mother in Kiss of the Spider Woman, Sophie in A Class Act, and Old Lady in Sunday in the Park with George. Wendy is one of three co-creators of Mama and Her Boys, which has played all over the Cape, including a 4-month run in Provincetown, and Off Broadway. She is also a professional American Sign Language Interpreter and works in that capacity in many theatres in Boston, including A.R.T., The Citicenter for the Performing Arts, The Opera House, Emerson Paramount, B.C.A, and The Huntington Theatre.

Susan Goldberg hails from Revere, MA. After successfully escaping Revere, she became a pianist and bassist in theater and moved to New York City. Narrowly escaping NYC, she moved to Cape Cod, and has been hiding playing with many bands (Sarah Burrill, Space Pussy, F#*kery, pit bands, and her main gig for 16 years Scream Along with Billy). She won’t be escaping Cape Cod any time soon. Don’t tell anyone.

Susan is a northeast based lighting designer. Starting in 2005 she has been a part of 34 productions as well as VetCo, Young Company, Footlight Fantasy and many benefits and special performances. Favorite show credits include-Full Monty (the first time), Xanadu, UMPO, Merrily We Roll Along, Rough Crossing, Billy Elliot, and Boundless. She also has worked for Skylight Theatre in Milwaukee, Prospect Theatre in NYC, Forestburgh Playhouse in Upstate NY, and many others. She is an events lighting designer for WorldStage in NYC.
