Maura Hanlon is the Associate Artistic Director at Cape Rep Theatre. She is very grateful to finally get the chance to explore this beautiful piece with this wonderfully creative company. Mo opened our 2019 season with Proof; she adapted (with Janine Perry) and directed The Odyssey for Cape Rep’s Young Company. She had an extraordinarily busy 2018 season, adapting and directing Great Expectations for YoCo, directing Merrily We Roll Along and Shakespeare in Love, and appearing as Rosie in Mamma Mia! and Helen in Fun Home. Mo has directed many, many plays at Cape Rep, and quite a few elsewhere. Favorite directing credits include Men on Boats, Failure: A Love Story, Jerusalem, Eurydice, Wintertime, The Rose Tattoo (Cape Rep) and Peter Pan and Wendy (HJT). She is also a sometime actor (including Cape Rep’s The Drowsy Chaperone, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Mr. Burns, a post-electric play), a frequent sound designer (My Name is Asher Lev, Top-dog/Underdog, The Bottom of the Sky, to name just a few), and an occasional playwright (Good Bye, Mary Rose, Dinosaur Pirates from Outerspace!, which she also composed, and Alice in Wonderland). Mo is a graduate of Holy Cross where she was a French/Pre-Med major. She studied acting and directing at Trinity Rep Conservatory and received her MFA in directing from UCSD. She was twice nominated for the Richard E. Sherwood Award at the Mark Taper Forum and was offered a Drama League Directing Fellowship. Her productions have been named frequently in the Cape Cod Times annual “Favorite Shows of…” She is a well-respected acting teacher and coach, and teaches acting and directing through Cape Rep’s  Theatrelab and YoCo. Extra-special thanks to her incredibly supportive family, Art, Paddo, Seamus and Macklin. Up next? YoCo 2019-20—what will it be? Stay tuned…  maurahanlon.com.

Liz Liuzzi has had the great pleasure of performing on a number of Cape stages and considers herself a bit of a theater gypsy.  She is always happy to make her way back to Cape Rep, her first ‘Cape Cod’ theater home.  Stepping back on stage at ‘the theater in the woods’, to participate in the November Project was an experience that was both thrilling and emotional. A clear reminder that we, actors, are so very blessed to be able to do something we love.   The opportunity to revisit one of her favorite characters ‘Jean’ from Good People and to share the stage again with her Good People and FootLight Fantasies cohort Melissa was great fun.  Thank you Cape Rep for inviting me.

Madison Mayer has performed with Cape Rep since 2016 and is exited to be on the stage again! 2020 would have been her 13th year performing on the Cape, however she has high hopes for 2021. Madison was most recently seen as Johanna in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (The Provincetown Theatre), Missy Miller in The Marvelous Wonderettes (The Cape Cod Theatre Company), as well as ensemble roles in Cape Reps Hairspray, Billy Elliot, and Mamma Mia! Madison would like to thank Mo and Janine for including her in this program, as well as Susan for the incredible light design!
