Summary

Join Cape Rep favorites, Jared Hagan and Trish LaRose, as they combine songs with humor and levity to help us through our crazy world. Weaving classic and contemporary Broadway tunes, from Annie Get Your Gun to Dear Evan Hansen, with songs from the canon of popular music ranging from Joni Mitchell to Wilson Philips. Each week will include an appearance with a different special guest artist.

Starring Trish LaRose (Mamma Mia!, Merrily We Roll Along) and Jared Hagan (A New Brain, La Cage Aux Folles) directed by  Richard Jay Sullivan with musical direction and arrangements by Malcolm Granger.

Jared Hagan is an Associate Artist at Cape Rep Theatre where he has appeared in over 25 productions. Some of his favorites include A New Brain, Hairspray, La Cage Aux Folles, Failure: A Love Story, Avenue Q, Drowsy Chaperone, A Class Act, Wintertime and A Year with Frog & Toad. NYC: Two Hearts Bleed As One (Joe’s Pub). Regional: Avenue Q (GEVA), Master Class (Eventide), Streakin’ (New Provincetown Theater), Batboy, Cabaret, Hair (PTC), Floyd Collins, Closer than Ever, The Lion in Winter (Counter Productions), A Grand Night for Singing, Into the Woods, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (HJT),  ABC’s of NYC Vol. 1 & 2 (CCFTA) and Talking With (TUTS). Trish LaRose – is an Associate Artist at Cape Rep Theatre where she has appeared in over a dozen productions. Favorites include: Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia!, Mary Flynn in Merrily We Roll Along, Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, Mae West in Dirty Blonde, Lady of The Lake in Monty Python’s Spamalot, Serafina Delle Rose in The Rose Tattoo, Little Sally in Urinetown and O.G. Howland in Men On Boats. Other credits include the National Tour of Urban Cowboy, Legally Blonde at North Shore Music Theatre and her One-Woman show performed in NYC and Cape Cod. She attended The Boston Conservatory. Love to Alex, Maya & all involved who made this revue possible.

Meghan is so happy to be back on the Cape Rep stage tonight after appearing in Merrily We Roll Along this past spring. Other favorite productions at Cape Rep include Failure: A Love Story, Funny Girl, and Blithe Spirit. On Cape, she has also performed with Cotuit Center for the Arts (Dark Night Cabaret, ABCs of NYC). In New York, Meghan has debuted two original shows, Womenfolk and Here Comes the Broad, at The Duplex Cabaret and Piano Bar. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama. Anthony Teixeira  is a local performer, producer, music director and educator who is so grateful to have been part of an incredible season at Cape Rep!  Previous shows here include Mamma Mia!, Merrily We Roll Along, The Tuna Goddess, Evita, Funny Girl, The Light in the Piazza, Mack & Mabel, A Year with Frog & Toad, Lyle the Crocodile, and How I Became A Pirate, as well as shows at Cotuit Center for the Arts, Harwich Junior Theatre, and Theater Under the Stairs. Anthony has been a soloist and featured singer for the Cape Symphony, and will perform the role of the Tin Man for their concert presentation of The Wizard of Oz in February 2019.

Brittany Rolfs is pumped to be returning to the Cape Rep stage making her debut in this season’s Fun Home. Recent credits include Beauty and the Beast, Oliver!, Shrek, Miss Holmes, The Miracle Worker, Lizzie Borden, Taste of Sunrise, and  The Marvelous Wonderettes at theatre companies including HJT/CCTC, Wheelock Family Theatre, Stoneham Theatre, Greater Boston Stage Company, Ocean State Theatre Company, and The Company Theatre. When not on stage Brittany is a teaching artist, director, costume designer, and Bodhi’s mom.

Richard Jay Sullivan – just completed his run as Bruce Bechdel in Fun Home at this theater. Cape Rep audiences may also remember him in A New Brain (Roger), The Woman In Black (The Actor/ Arthur Kipps), Good People (Mike), Mack and Mabel (Mack Sennett), Eurydice (Father), A Class Act (Ed Kleban), Sunday in the Park with George (George), La Cage Aux Folles (Georges). As director, Trish and Jared’s 21st Century Song Book, Born Yesterday (Cape Rep) Two Daughters (W.H.A.T.) Antigone, Man of La Mancha, Secret Garden, Big River (HJT). Off Broadway and Regional acting credits: Circle Rep, Cleveland Playhouse, Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival among others. BFA- Hofstra University; MFA- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee PTTP. Malcolm Granger – is the principal composer of Wrinkles, The Musical, which premiered at The Cape Cod Theatre Company in 2017. Also that year he was part of Trish & Jared’s 21st Century Songbook and Boundless at Cape Rep. At Cotuit Center For the Arts, he was music director for One Man, Two Guvnors, Jesus Christ Superstar and Emily Wade Adams’ Love is Blind, which also played at Feinstein’s 54 Below.
