Rock the Bard: Midsummer is a romantic, sexy, silly, interactive, rock adaptation of the lovers’ stories at the center of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and featuring songs we all know and love.
This benefit production will inaugurate the newly refinished outdoor courtyard space between the Crosby Barn and Indoor Theater as a performance venue. All proceeds go to benefit the next phase of Cape Rep’s Barn Project, the restoration of the interior into a new, flexible performance space and a home for the expansion of our thriving educational programs, including the Young Company and the Veterans Company.
All Cape Rep staff and cast members have been fully vaccinated. Patrons who have been fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a mask for this production. We request patrons who are not vaccinated to please wear a mask.

Chelsey Jo Ristaino (Hermia) Chelsey is so excited to be a part of this whimsical show! Currently, she is having a blast playing Maya Mouse in The Fantastical House of Maya the Mouse at Cape Rep. Favorite Cape Rep credits include: Next to Normal, Evita, The Light in the Piazza, Jerusalem, and Hairspray. Seton Brown* (Demetrius) last performed for Cape Rep as Dvornicek in Rough Crossing. He holds an MFA from The American Conservatory Theater and a BA from Wittenberg University. He was recently featured as Detective Jack Hammer in Shit & Champagne in the Provincetown Film Festival — which will be available soon on streaming platforms. Recent Credits include Joey in Mr. Irresistible (Cat Fights & Shoulder Pads); Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Mortal Folly Theatre); and Jimmy et al in Almost, Maine (Barnstormers Theatre). Seton is a member of Actors’ Equity Association. He would like to thank his wife Chelsey for always believing in him and his two dog children for bringing him joy! Jess Georges (Oberon) It was Cape Rep that brought Jess here way back in 2003 From NYC, since then she’s settled in nicely…you may have seen her play farm animals, pirates, puppets and a few people too. Jess is originally from Buffalo NY & graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She’s feels so fortunate to finally be brushing off her cobwebs after a four year hiatus from theater to run her business Green Road Refill. Big thanks to her Cape Rep family, her husband Justin, kids – Kai and Cora, and her mom Jayne for their ever strong love and support!
Jared Hagan is an Associate Artist at Cape Rep Theatre where he has appeared in over 30 productions. Adam Berry (Theseus) is the Executive Producer and star of his own paranormal reality television show on the Travel Channel called Kindred Spirits (now in its 6th season). Ben Berry (Hippolyta) Ben is the Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Peregrine Theatre Ensemble in Provincetown. He holds a BFA in Acting from the University of MN/Guthrie Theater and has trained in London at Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, The Royal National Theater, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the London International School for the Performing Arts. Ben originated the role of Don in the world premiere of Tennessee Williams’ The Parade, or Approaching the End of Summer for the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival. Roles with Peregrine Theatre include Chicago (Billy), Hamlet (Hamlet), RENT (Mark), The Full Monty (Malcolm), Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas), Blithe Spirit (Elvira) and Carrie (Freddy). Kate Pazakis is the creator and writer of the UMPO Series. Over the past five years, the UMPO series has become one of the hottest theatrical series in Los Angeles and has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood Live and many morning shows. She has written UMPO STRANGER THINGS, UMPO BRIDESMAIDS, UMPO JURASSIC PARK, UMPO CLUELESS, UMPO 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU and UMPO MEAN GURLZ, and co-wrote UMPO’s HOCUS POCUS, UMPO TROOP BEVERLY HILLS, UMPO THE BIG LEBOWSKI, UMPO THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, UMPO HOME ALONE, and UMPO ROCKY. She also produced UMPO: SCREAM and developed/produced UMPO: CRUEL INTENTIONS which ran Off-Broadway and is now touring. She produced AMERICAN IDIOT on the West End with producing partner Bradley Bredeweg and Co-Wrote SCISSORHANDS and THE LAST BREAKFAST CLUB with him. As an actor, she has been seen on TV in many national commercials and a guest star on SOUTH PARK. Broadway/National Tour: South Pacific; Jerry Springer: The Opera (starring Harvey Keitel); and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (starring Jennifer Hudson).
