Summary
Who doesn’t love a comedy, especially a comedy with music? Inspired by some of the greatest comedy of all time, Abbott and Costello, Lucille Ball, the Marx Brothers, playwright Seton Brown has created a hilarious tale of thwarted love, mistaken identity, witty word play and pratfalls galore, supported by a score with a fresh take on standards from the Great American songbook certain to delight your ears and tickle your funny bone. Ari Lew (Hugo) has been in over 25 productions at Cape Rep! Recent credits include Pirates of Penzance, Maya Mouse’s Madcap House, A Man of No Importance, Heart of the Wreck, Mamma Mia!, Much Ado About Nothing, Tumucho, and Noises Off. Regional: WHAT, Harbor Stage Company, FPTC, Priscilla Beach Theater, WPPAC, SKyPAC, Fort Peck Summer Theater. NYC: Metropolitan Opera, Players Theater, Actors Temple, American Theatre of Actors, Robert Moss Theatre. He has been featured for many years in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and was “The Man in Red” at Macy’s Santaland on 34th St. in Herald Square. He lives in Yarmouth with his (also silly) wife Holly together enjoying Disney, Christmas, movies and video games.
Trish LaRose (Marguerite)is a resident artist at Cape Rep Theatre where she has appeared in over 20 productions. Favorites include: Her commissioned one woman show Come On-A My House, Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia!, Mae West in Dirty Blonde, Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and Serafina Delle Rosa in The Rose Tattoo. Other credits: Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (opp. Tom Hewitt, Provincetown Theater), Paulette in Legally Blonde and More Women Rock (CCftA) Grandma in The Addams Family, Piggie in Elephant and Piggie’s “We Are In A Play!” (CCTC/HJT), the nat’l tour of Urban Cowboy, Legally Blonde (North Shore Music Theatre), Trish LaRose is Bulletproof (The Duplex, Cornelia Street Cafe, NYC). She’s also appeared as a guest with the NYC cabaret group The Skivvies and has sung with the Cape Symphony. Special thanks and love to Cath & Joe, Chris and her two best girls, Ava & Maya. Anthony Teixeira (Max) is a local performer and arts educator who is always grateful to be working with Cape Rep! Jared Hagan (Peter) is an Associate Artist at Cape Rep Theatre where he has appeared in over 35 productions. Some of his favorites include this season’s Pirates of Penzance and Our Town, Something Rotten!, Merrily We Roll Along, A New Brain, Hairspray, La Cage Aux Folles, Failure: A Love Story, Avenue Q, and The Drowsy Chaperone as well as a decade of Outdoor Theater children’s shows. Holly Erin McCarthy (Dr. Tillman) is tickled pink to share the stage once again with her very best pals. As an actor, director, and designer, Holly’s work has been seen in over 30 Cape Rep productions, including favorites Tumacho, Failure: A Love Story, Jerusalem, Avenue Q, and By the Bog of Cats, as well as her original musical, Maya Mouse’s Madcap House which performed summer 2024 on the Outdoor Stage. Other Cape credits include performances with the Harbor Stage Co, WHAT, Provincetown Theatre, HJT, and directing credits at Tilden/CCCC (Urinetown, She Kills Monsters) and at CCftA (ABCs of NYC, Dark Night Cabaret, Theater Under the Stairs Productions). Holly grew up on the Cape, attended PSU for degrees in Theater Arts and Writing, and lives in West Yarmouth with a guy she met on the internet.
Brian Lore Evans (Captain Lewis) is thrilled to be performing at Cape Rep again! He is a graduate of The American Repertory Theater’s Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University, where he received his Master’s Degree in Advanced Theatre Studies. He was most recently seen on stage this summer at WHAT in Reefer Madness. This is his third show at Cape Rep after appearing in Our Town and Archibald Avery. Brian recently made his Cape directing debut with the Cape Cod Theatre Company/HJT’s production of Dracula. An abundance of love to his wife Colleen and his son Greyson, his two greatest supporters.

Creative
Seton Brown (Writer/Director) is proud to be both the playwright and director of the world premiere of Pickle Me Tink at Cape Rep Theatre. As a storyteller, Seton thrives on blending humor, heart, and a touch of absurdity, all of which are on full display in this lively new musical comedy. Drawing inspiration from the playful traditions of Commedia dell’Arte and the timeless charm of jazz standards, Pickle Me Tink is a passion project years in the making. Throughout his career in theater, Seton has worked as a director, writer, and performer, with a deep commitment to creating bold, ensemble-driven productions. Selected acting credits include Peter in Prelude to a Kiss, Francis Henshall in One Man, Two Guv’nors and Dvornichek in Rough Crossing at Cape Rep, and starring as Detective Jack Hammer in Shit & Champagne as well as its upcoming sequel. Selected directing credits include The Bald Soprano, Buffy:The Musical (parody), and The Three Suitors. He holds an MFA from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, CA and a BA from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. A firm believer in the power of collaboration, Seton is grateful to the talented cast, crew, and creative team who have brought this vision to life. When not crafting new stories for the stage, Seton is an active member of the local theater community and a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. Seton would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to his wife, daughter, and greyhound for their unwavering love and support throughout this journey, as well as to Cape Rep Theatre and the audience for supporting original theater and helping to make this production a reality.
Malcolm Granger (Musical Director) is a multi-instrumentalist, and has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, he has appeared with Della Reese, Rebecca Parris, Dan Hicks and Bob Hope, among others. He is the composer of Wrinkles: The Musical, and author of the Cotuit Center’s Muskrat Love series.
Chelsey Jo Brown (Choreography) has been choreographing professional and children’s theatre since 2016. Credits include: This season’s Maya Mouse’s Madcap House, A Man of No Importance, Hairspray (Cape Rep Theatre), The Addams Family, Footloose, Frozen the Musical, Alice in Wonderland, Junie B Jones, Elephant and Piggie, Madagascar, The Jungle Book and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Bay Area Children’s Theatre), The Jungle Book (Dennis-Yarmouth Intermediate School) and The Drowsy Chaperone (Nauset High School). She is a teaching artist at Cape Rep Theatre and Cape Cod Theatre Company where she loves sharing her passion for musical theatre with young artists! She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University. Chelsey is so proud and honored to work alongside her husband, who she met at Cape Rep over 10 years ago, on this production. Ryan McGettigan (Scenic Design) Ryan is a Houston-based scenic designer of theater, opera, and dance working across the country and Europe. He is the Resident Designer at Cape Rep Theatre, where he has designed over 25 sets, as well as a Company Artist with Prague Shakespeare Company and the Classical Theatre Company of Houston. Regional Credits: Theatre under the Stars, Stages Repertory Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Shakespeare & Company, Cape Rep, Abilene Shakespeare Festival, Legacy Theatre, Prague Shakespeare Company. Opera and Dance: Glimmerglass Festival, New Orleans Opera, Opera San Jose, HGOco, Open Dance Project, and the Houston Ballet.
Robin McLoughlin (Costume Design) When Robin was 5 someone asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, “A designer,” she said, and she has been sewing and creating ever since. Moving to Southern California at 21, Robin started her career as a costumer in film when there were 3 networks and it was TV vs film. After 2 years in Australia and following the birth of her daughter Leanne, they relocated to Cape Cod, where Robin has worked as an acclaimed costume designer for theaters across the Cape and Islands for the last 25 years.
Keith Truax (Lighting Design) is excited to be designing his first show at Cape Rep Theatre and joining the company of Pickle Me Tink. Hannah Gruendemann (Stage Manager) is a director, composer, writer, and performer raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her directorial debut, Jane Eyre: The Musical, was at the Theatre at St. Jean’s in Manhattan this year. She recently completed a year-long research fellowship studying the intersection of musical performance and the natural world in Spain, Italy, the UK, Indonesia, and Aotearoa New Zealand. This included producing the world premiere of a musical about reducing carbon emissions, working on a permaculture coconut farm, and walking 550 miles chasing music across Spain. Recent compositional premieres have been at Brooklyn Art Haus, the Northwestern Beinen School of Music, I/O New Music Festival, and the New Explorative Oratorio Voice Festival.
