Summary
What happens to an iconic piece of culture, take “The Simpsons” for example, after a hundred years have passed? Fresh from its off-Broadway hit run at Playwrights’ Horizons, Mr. Burns, a post-electric play is a funny, intelligent, contemporary play with music about the importance of art after an apocalyptic event results in a world with no electricity. Ben Brantley, New York Times theater critic wrote: “When was the last time you met a new play that was so smart it made your head spin?…Anne Washburn’s downright brilliant.”
