Summary

She Loves Me is a timeless tale of mistaken identity, unexpected romance, and finding love where you least expect it, with a lush score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof), and book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret). This heartwarming romantic comedy filled with humor, heart, and a touch of old-world elegance set in a 1930s perfumery, follows feuding shop clerks Amalia and Georg, who unknowingly become each other’s anonymous pen pals through a lonely hearts ad.

She Loves Me, a delightful jewel box of a musical, is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays.

Trish has performed in over 30 Cape Rep productions, including her successful commissioned one woman show, Come On-A My House. She’s performed in NYC, Boston, Puerto Rico, on a First National Broadway tour, and has sung with the Cape Symphony. She’s frequently on the stage at Cotuit Center for the Arts, and was seen in The Odd Couple, Cry It Out, Legally Blonde, More Women Rock, Come On-A My House, Horns Rock, and Tony Bennett Duets with Friends. She received her BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory. Up next: A night of music with Joe Merrick at Chatham Bars Inn (12/12, tix:chathambarsinn.com), and various performances at First Night Chatham. Brian returns to Cape Rep after a 20 year absence; Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (2003), Wonder of the World (2003), All My Sons (2005), and Private Lives (2005). Since then he has kept busy selling real estate In Manhattan and The Berkshires, where he currently, and very happily, lives. Before all that, he was an actor in New York City and Los Angeles.

Back at Cape Rep after this summer’s Sunday in the Park with George and last year’s Pirates of Penzance, Holly’s recent performances include Overcome (opposite Amy Brenneman) and the title role in Hello, Dolly! This past year, she directed the hits Legally Blonde, Always Patsy Cline, and Bandstand at Cotuit Center for the Arts, and will be directing The Drowsy Chaperone next summer. Other favorite Cape performance credits include: Beatrice in Much Ado (CCftA), Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods (ETC), Barrel in Urinetown (Tilden Arts). Always happy to share the stage and be a weirdo alongside her equally weird husband Ari!

 Lynne is excited to be in She Loves Me at Cape Rep Theatre. She  brings over forty years of experience to the stage  as actor, director, educator, singer, and producer.  She was the Executive Director of the River’s Edge Arts Alliance of Hudson Ma before moving to Eastham in 2015.  She served as Associate Director of Education at the Huntington Theater Company for six years.  With a degree in Theatre Education, she has produced and directed numerous musicals, plays, concerts and events as well as taught many theatre classes and workshops for actors of all ages and abilities. She taught Drama at Hudson High School where she directed and produced plays and musicals along with her music educator husband, Paul, for over thirty-five years and has served on many artistic boards both off and on Cape.

Lynne has played many lead roles in plays and musicals over the years. On Cape Cod she has played the role of Miss Andrew in Mary Poppins with Chatham Drama Guild, Frenchie in Grease (the over 40 version),  singer in The World Goes Round,and was a cast member for Overcome by and with Amy Brenneman at Cotuit Center for the Arts.  She was the Stepmother in Into the Woods, Jenny in Company and Berthe in Pippin with Eventide Theatre Company and has directed for Eventide in the recent past.  Lynne owns and operates Sunset Leisure Gift Shop with her son Josh in Orleans and has been both a cast mate with and director for her son Zack. She would like to thank her incredible family and many friends for their continued support of her theatrical endeavors.  Lynne dedicates this and every performance to her late husband Paul “Skip” Johnson who she loved and raised a family with, and directed, worked and taught with in the theatre world for many years.  He will always remain her inspiration and he always preserved a “romantic atmosphere”

Izzy is a recent graduate of Syracuse University with her BFA in Musical Theatre. Chelsey is an associate artist at Cape Rep and has appeared in over a dozen performances. Favorite Cape Rep credits include: Prelude to a Kiss, Next to Normal, Mamma Mia!, The Light in the Piazza, Jerusalem, and The SpongeBob Musical. Bay Area credits: The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Rizzo in Grease (Broadway by the Bay), Ali in Mamma Mia (Center Rep), Ilona in She Loves Me (RVP/Mountain Play) and Ensemble in Spamalot (Marin Shakes). She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University.

Cam is a director, playwright, and actor based in Fall River, Massachusetts. As a playwright, his one person show, don’t feed the bear has been performed in a myriad of states across the country as well as a stint in Alberta, Canada. At Cape Rep, Cam has been seen in Jerusalem as Davey, The Full Monty as Dave, and Our Town as George Gibbs. Many thanks to his family and of course, Ashley for their support!

is the Associate Artistic Director at Cape Rep Theatre, where she has directed many, many plays, sound designed many more, acted in some and even written a few. Mo’s most recent directorial credits include Midsummer Dreamers, Our Town and Trish LaRose’s musical memoir, Come On-A My House. Favorite directing credits include the world premiere musical, Archibald Avery written by her three sons Paddo, Seamus and Macklin Devine, Come On-A My House, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Indecent, Men on Boats, Failure: A Love Story, Jerusalem, Eurydice, Wintertime, The Rose Tattoo (Cape Rep) and Peter Pan and Wendy (HJT). Mo is the founder and director of Cape Rep’s Young Company (YoCo) which performed their 9th production, This Restless House: Agamemnons Return, in February. A Holy Cross grad, Mo studied acting and directing at Trinity Rep Conservatory and received her MFA in directing from UCSD. Extra-special thanks to her incredibly supportive family, Paddo, Seamus, Macklin and Art.

Scott served as resident musical director for Cape Rep Theatre for over 30 years. His over 65 musicals, musical revues, and children’s shows with Cape Rep include: Sunday in the Park with George, A Man of No Importance, Avenue Q, Funny Girl, Something Rotten, Next to Normal, Side Show, The Drowsy Chaperone, Mack and Mabel, The Light in the Piazza, Ragtime, Steel Pier, Xanadu!, The Full Monty, The Pirates of Penzance, Evita, Spamalot!, Urinetown, Lady in the Dark, My Fair Lady, Dirty Blonde, A Year With Frog and Toad, How I Became a Pirate, The Wizard of Oz, La Cage Aux Folles, A Class Act and Tick, Tick…Boom; conceiving and directing 14 years of the Sea Pines Summer Musical Revues and 13 years of the All Our Best benefit revues. Scott also has served as resident musical director for CV REP Theatre in Cathedral City, California. Shows there include Chess, Closer Than Ever, Baby, The Story of My Life, A Class Act and the reimagined revival of the musical, Ballroom. Other shows in California and his home state of Arizona include Applause, Dear World, It’s a Grand Night for Singing, Zorba, Putting It Together, The Jungle Book, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Songs for a New World, Captain Louis and The King and I. Scott has won both Zoni and Desert Theatre League awards for Best Musical Direction. This show and all of Scott’s music are dedicated to his mom and dad for their never-ending love and support.

Ryan is a Houston-based scenic designer of theater, opera, and dance working across the country and Europe. He is the Resident Designer at Cape Rep Theatre, where he has designed over 25 sets, as well as a Company Artist with Prague Shakespeare Company and the Classical Theatre Company of Houston. Regional Credits: Theatre under the Stars, Stages Repertory Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Shakespeare & Company, Cape Rep, Abilene Shakespeare Festival, Legacy Theatre, Prague Shakespeare Company. When Robin was 5 someone asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, “A designer,” she said, and she has been sewing and creating ever since. Moving to Southern California at 21, Robin started her career as a costumer in film when there were 3 networks and it was TV vs film. After 2 years in Australia and following the birth of her daughter Leanne, they relocated to Cape Cod, where Robin has worked as an acclaimed costume designer for theaters across the Cape and Islands for the last 30 years.

Maeve Moriarty is a local theater technician and videographer who is thrilled to be joining Cape Rep for the first time. Covering a variety of roles from projection design to stage management, recent projects include Joan (Cape Playhouse), Horns Rock! (Cotuit Center for the Arts), O Captain My Captain(South Harwich Meetinghouse), and Elephant and Piggie’s We Are in a Play! (CCftA). Maeve is grateful for this opportunity and for the support of family, friends, and colleagues.

Hannah McLaughlin (Assistant Stage Manager) Hannah is excited to make her Cape Rep debut! Past stage management credits include Finding Nemo (CCTC/HJT), The Lightning Thief (CCTC/HJT),and Mary Poppins (CCftA). She also has been a spotlight operator at Cotuit Center for the Arts for over 10 years on countless productions. During the day she is an ESL teacher in the Barnstable Public School district.  She would like to thank her love, family and friends for their continuing support.
