You’re invited to the party of the summer…
…celebrating the reopening of Cape Rep Theatre, the launching of the final phase of the Barn Project and the bright future it represents, especially for our Young Company and Conservatory.
The evening begins with a party of drinks and light refreshments. Sit and enjoy the premiere performance of Rock the Bard: Midsummer, a musical romp conceived and written by Kate Pazakis, directed by Dani Davis and performed by Cape Rep favorites including Jared Hagan, Chelsey Jo Ristaino, Jess Andra, and Brittany Rolfs. An intermission of prosecco and sweet treats will be followed by Act 2 of Rock the Bard.
About Rock the Bard: Midsummer
Rock the Bard: Midsummer is a romantic, sexy, silly, interactive, rock adaptation of the lovers’ stories at the center of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream featuring songs we all know and love.
Created by Kate Pazakis and directed & choreographed by Dani Davis with lighting design by Susan Nicholson and costume design by Robin McLaughlin, Rock the Bard: Midsummer is a rocking, irreverent, frolicking show, with popular songs played by the Devine brothers, and performed by beloved Cape Rep actors, including Jared Hagan, Jess Andra, Seton Brown, Chelsey Jo Ristaino, Jess Georges, Brittany Rolfs and Macklin Devine, with a special appearance by Adam & Ben Berry.
